The conclusive analyses of the Jalandhar Lok Sabha by-poll results signposts that in 2024 Lok Sabha General Election, the main fight would be between the Congress and the AAP.

Determined and result oriented initiative, against corruption and genuine implementation of Punjab Government’s decision of ‘zero electricity bills’ has received positive response from the general public and these two significantly dominant factors has delivered victory to AAP in Jalandhar Lok Sabha by-poll.

It is clear from the massive mandate in favor of AAP that the ‘zero electricity bill’ scheme of the State Government has benefited the small, marginal and middle-class households all over Punjab and they have responded massively in favor of AAP candidate Shushil Kumar Rinku.

Bhagwant Mann’s firm resolve of ‘Zero tolerance’ to corruption indulgence by politicians, bureaucracy or by anybody for that matter, has widely been acknowledged by vociferous Public reinforcement.

The sporadic guest appearances of the State Congress Leaders at Jalandhar, which remained restricted to photo-opportunity, that sans synchronized planning, consistent coordinated efforts of cohesive hard work at the ground level, to maintain the steady rhythm of the election campaign of Congress Candidate Karamjit Kaur was conspicuously missing at every stage of campaigning. This erroneously deceptive amiss has caused the defeat of the otherwise Good Congress candidate.

SAD and BSP combined, under the leadership of Sukhbir Singh Badal has miserably failed to catch the imagination of the voters. And almost similar was the dismal performance of BJP. A maiden experiment of the BJP going solo in Punjab, by roping some inconsequential leaders from here and there, has certainly exposed the hollowness of their combined strength.

The conclusive analyses of the Jalandhar Lok Sabha by-poll results signposts that in 2024 Lok Sabha General Election, the main fight would be between the Congress and the AAP.

The chances of resurrection of SAD seems grim and decimated furthermore, if Sukhbir Singh Badal unremittingly decides to stick on as President of the SAD, without bringing significant transformation in the body politic of the SAD, or make some major structural changes, which could pave the way for the emergence of the collective leadership, to guide the destiny of the Sikh Panth. punjab
