I pragmatically, welcome the decision of the State government to increase the ex gratia amount for the soldiers, killed in action from Rs. 10 Lakh to Rs. 50 lakh, along with a job to the next of kin.

Capt. Amarinder Singh as an Ex-Army Captain had raised few very valid and pertinent questions while, such as “If the unit was armed as being claimed, the Second-in-command should have ordered firing the moment commanding office fell to the Chinese treachery”.

Capt Monsoon warThough, Capt. Amarinder Singh always claims that he essentially is a ‘soldier first’ and apart from this, he is a prolific Military historian having written books such as ‘Honour And Fidelity’ a narrative of India’s Military contribution to the great war (1914-1918) and ‘The Monsoon War’ which contains his memories of the 1965 Indo-Pak war as a young Captain.

Capt. Amarinder Singh also served as aide-de-camp (ADC) to the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Western Command, Lieutenant General Harbaksh Singh from December 1964 and as such he participated in the 1965 Indo-Pakistan War.

It is pertinent to mention here that the command area, then under the responsibility of the Western Command, spanned from Ladakh to Punjab. Therefore, it’s plausible to believe that Capt. Amarinder Singh must be quite familiar with the rough terrain of ‘Galwan Valley’ on Indo-China Ldakh Border.

I, unhesitatingly appreciate his passion as a soldier and for the soldiers.

Whenever our soldiers are martyred anywhere, may it be in Kashmir or on Indo-China border conflict, his blood boils and a soldier under his skin awakens with his wartime courage, that makes him furious and he tries to hit the roof and roars like a ‘wounded lion’ from the rostrum of an improvised ‘Saragarhi Farm’ to avenge the brutalities in an unrestrained, beastly manner.

Capt. Amarinder Singh has asserted vociferously “Our soldiers at the front should be told that if they kill 1 of ours, you kill 3 of theirs”.

He even made it clear that he is not speaking as a politician but as a man who had been part of the Army and still loved the institution, notwithstanding his nervous dispositioning at ‘Saragarhi Farms’.

In view of his strong sentiments expressed yesterday while talking to media persons informally, at Chandigarh Air base, after paying tributes to three sepoys whose mortal remains were flown in from Galwan Valley, I would appreciate if Prime Minister Narendra Modi uses his finest military acumen for meticulously planning and implementing the Military Strategies in Indo-China conflict zone.

Captain Amarinder Singh could offer his services to Government of India, as an advisor to the Ministry of Defense for strategic planning in the war zones.

Dismissing all the bullshit of a coward like Sukhbir Singh Badal, he should voluntarily offer his services to the Army in Ladakh sector as an ex-Captain of the Indian Army to avenge the brutality of China.

Respecting the strong sentiments of Capt. Amarinder Singh expressed on many strategic lapses committed by the Army in Gulwan Valley, the Congress President Mrs Sonia Gandhi should immediately relieve Capt. Amarinder Singh from the burden of Chief Minister’s post and outsource his expertise for the Defense of the country.

I’m sure that besides his strategic expertise, his very presence on the scene in ‘Galwan Valley’ would boost the morale and encourage the Indian soldiers to avenge the brutalities of China as per his own prudent measures.

He may also take one of his senior advisors, Lt. General T.S. Shergill in the fulfillment of his endeavors to kill as many Chinese soldiers as he deems appropriate and exactly on the scene of Chinese brutalities in ‘Galwan Valley’.

It is pertinent to mention here that General Shergill has accompanied him on his sojourns to France, while discovering the miniscule details and accounts for his great treatise, ‘HONOUR AND FIDELITY’.

However, I would request to Lt. General Mr.T.S. Shergill, not to take any assortment of the GoGs (Guardians of the Governance) with them to Ladakh, as some group of ‘trustworthy’ people must be left behind in Punjab to ‘Guard the Governance’ if they see that some modules of ‘Governance’ are still left in Punjab !!
